Staging

Dynamic chip storage is the collection of chips for further processing via storage and staging equipment. This function may be pre-wringer, where chips are collected to be metered into the shredder or wringer. It can also be post-wringer – where chips are collected and secured for remelt.

Storage and staging provides labor savings, frees floor space, eliminates possible containment liability associated with storing and hauling, reduces or eliminates tolling charges, and tracks weight for smelter planning and verification.
